He was predeceased by: his parents, George Jennings Ott and Emma Inez Conyers; and his siblings, Waddel Ott, Gary Ott and Wanda Kay Paul.
He is survived by: his wife Geneva B. Ott; his children, Paulette O. Henry (Kenneth), Emma J. Hoover and George A. Ott; and his daughter-in-law Melody Freeman. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren, his ten great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the McEwen Funeral Service Inc. (10500 Park Rd, Charlotte, NC 28210). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
