It is with sadness that the passing of George E. Rhyne (Charlotte, North Carolina) is shared. George, born on July 10, 1947 in Gastonia, North Carolina, passed away on July 27, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
George will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor George by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though George is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. George’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Herbert and Gladys Long Rhyne; his children, Amy Rhyne of Charlotte and Daren Rhyne of Pinehurst; and his sisters, Shirley Williams of Gastonia and Gladys Adams (Frank Adams Jr.) of Gastonia. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, in laws, church, family, and friends.
