She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest R Scott and Lucy Campbell Scott; her husbands, Edward Hudson, Sr. and Willie James Hunter; and her siblings, Vanessa Scott, Rosetta Johnson, Julia Robinson, Elizabeth Matutu, Ernest Jr., James Arthur and Rev. Al Wright.
She is survived by: her children, Anthony Scott (Gail) of Augusta, GA, Carl Scott (Stephanie) of Charlotte, NC, Robin Scott of Charlotte, NC, Eric Scott (Faye) of Greensboro, NC, Derek Scott (Saundra) of Charlotte, NC, Rona "Michelle" Hunter of Charlotte, NC and Sandra "Terri" Scott of Charlotte, NC; and her siblings, Delores Proctor, Pecolia Kimber, Hazeline Sarter, Ellen, Frank Bauknight and Victor Scott. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
