He is survived by: his spouse Corraine; his children, Steven Cogan (Melissa) of Mechanicsville, VA, Gary Cogan of Milford, CT, Edward Cogan (Jennifer) of Harrisburg, NC, Kenneth Cogan (Cyndi) of Anderson, IN., Christine Andranovich (Steve) of Charlotte, NC and Corinne Frederick (Richard) of Matthews, NC.; and his siblings, Phyllis Young (Jim) of Milford, CT and Robert Cogan (Florence) of California. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

“I am so sorry to hear that Mr Cogan has passed away. I still remember how he could make me almost pee my pants with his steely stare and then smile and let me off the hook. I miss my Dorothy street family and growing up with you guys. I learned how to swim in your pool. I remember thinking Mr Cogan was the coolest guy in the world since the ice cream man would pull into his driveway just to ask if he needed anything. Great guy and family. Your other brother from the hood. Bobby DelVecchio.”
