He is survived by: his wife Gail Brinn Wilkins; his children, Laura Freese Giffin, Daniel Frederick Freese and Matthew Stephen Freese; his grandchildren, Jacob Frederick Giffin (Ariana Nicole), Kyle Lee Giffin and Ariella Freese; his great grandchildren, Calvin Kyle Giffin, Ellie Mai Giffin and Walker Chris Giffin; his sister-in-law Caroline Genevieve Freese; his nephews, James Lewis Freese and Brady Stephen Freese; his niece Stephanie Lea Freese Closson; his family Elizabeth Hartness Wilkins Hardison (Christopher Louis Hardison); and his grandson Rufus Alexander Hardison.
