He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivar Sr. and Phylis. He is survived by: his wife Beverly; his sons, Gary, Brad and Brian; his grandchildren, Andrew, Josh, Matthew, Joseph, Kyle, Kate and Kelly; and his great grandchildren, Carter, Elle, Owen, Kit, Brooks, Blake, Rhett and Reese.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the McEwen Funeral Home - Pineville Chapel (10500 Park Rd, Charlotte, NC 28210).
