It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Callens Jr. of Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on August 31, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Garland James Callens, Sr. and Pearlie Mae Callens; his wife Lee Ethel Callens; and his children, James Callens, Jr., Randy Callens, Brandon Callens, Bruce Callens, Lorenzo Callens and Lorraine Callens.
He is survived by: his children, Connie Wordlaw (Dexter), Jerome Callens (Lucy), Charles Hubbard (Tasha) and Jeffrey Hubbard; and his grandchildren, James E. Callens III, April Callens, Corey Callens, Amber Cruz, Loren Wordlaw, Rami Callens, Tia Callens, Gabriel Robledo and Ashley Callens. He is also survived by great grandchildren and greater grandchildren.
