He is survived by: his wife Linda Barnett Stroupe; his children, Lorie Kimes (Dennis) of Davidson, NC, Scott Stroupe of Ft Lauderdale, FL and Ginny Grenda (Michael) of Charlotte, NC.; his grandchildren, Hannah Wheeler, Matthew Wheeler, Jacob Wheeler, Tyler Kimes, Jessica Kimes and Makenzie Kimes; and his sister Phoebe Lee.
