He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carteret Alsop and Eleanore Brown Alsop; his son James Richard Alsop, Jr. (Terri); his grandson James Richard Alsop, III (Zshila); his great grandchildren, Maxxi Alsop and Benjamin Alsop; his son Thomas Anthony Alsop; his granddaughter Carrie Griffin (Richie); his great grandchildren, Landry and Kaiden Griffin; his granddaughter Christie Webber (Geoff); his great grandchildren, Gavin Simone, Sophia Simone, Maggie Webber and Clark Webber; his son Joseph Stephen Alsop; his granddaughter Stephanie Alsop (Zach Naert); his great grandchildren, Paxton Naert and Haddox Naert; his daughter Mary Throckmorton (Jody); his grandchildren, Michael Moyers (Christie) and Emily Moyers; his son John Patrick Alsop; his granddaughter Nikki Cochrane; his great grandchildren, Natalie, Madison Cochrane and Evan Cochrane; and his grandson Scott Alsop. He was also cherished by five children, eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
