He was predeceased by: his parents, Irene Boyles, and Lacy Boyles, Sr.; and his siblings, Madolyn and Lacy, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Ann Boyles; his children, James Boyles, Jr. (Robin Boyles) and Patricia Boyles (Grace Sanders); his granddaughter Lauren Boyles; his sisters, Linda Walker, Norma Kerr and Darlene Childress; and his sister-in-law Pam Boyles. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family asks that you make a contribution in Jim's name to the American Lung Association to aid in their work on smoking prevention and cessation (please see the donation link below).
