He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Price (Jim) of Mount Pleasant, SC, Jim Mock of Charlotte, NC, Bob Mock (Lisa) of Lithia Florida and Beth Odom (Chad) of Statesville, NC.; his grandchildren, Laura (Ron), John (Lindsey), Kristen, Adam (Kayla), Parker, Savannah, Wilson, Jacob, Mary and Ben; his great grandchildren, Michael, Emmie of Lily, RJ, Sienna and Everette; his pets, Peanut and Dub; his extended family, Mark, Scott, Jenny, Pat, Sharyn, Christy, Debbie, Ashley, Chris and Amy; Rosie.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial donations be made in James's honor to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
