In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Janet had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Janet may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her husband Laramin D Black Sr.; and her parents, Herbert Roscoe Holt and Mary Lou Wilson. She is survived by: her children, Denise Rhodes of Charlotte, NC, Laramin Black (Trish) of Charlotte, NC and Nancy Frank (Jeremy) of Lancaster; her stepson Charles Black (Cathy) of Rock Hill, SC; and her brothers, Rick Holt (Johnene) of Fort Mill, SC and Danny Holt of Clover, SC. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hoskins Avenue Baptist Church (101 S Hoskins Rd, Charlotte, NC 28208). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
