With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janet Faye Layfield of Charlotte, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 26, 2026 at the age of 89. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Gilbert Anderson and Helen Zimmeran Anderson; her husband Albert R Layfield; her siblings, Harry Anderson (Hap), Wayne Anderson, Nancy Anderson and Carol Bleem; and her nephews, Stephen Anderson and Randy Smith.
She is survived by: her daughter Jennifer Colley; her grandchildren, Rebecca Beehler (Zachary) and Sean Colley; her sister Diane McLauglin; and her sister-in-law Ida Anderson.
