Jenny Aspbury Obituary
Jenny Brown Aspbury, 62, of Sugar Mountain, NC, passed away on July 29, 2026. Jenny was born in Mecklenburg County, NC on October 1. She was preceded in death by her father Lawrence Hal Brown and is survived by her mother and stepfather, Linda and Charles Petty. Jenny graduated from East Mecklenburg High School and East Carolina University.
She was kind, generous, and fun-loving. Her laughter was contagious and her service to her community was inspiring. She loved her orange tabby cats (Sammie and Gracie), pickleball, and spending time with friends and family. In her younger years, she enjoyed skiing at Sugar Mountain and water skiing at Lake Wylie.
Jenny was a loving mom, grandma, family member, and friend. Jenny is preceded in death by her brother, Mark Brown, and husband, Alan Aspbury. She is survived by her sons Michael Aspbury, and wife, Alli, and Daniel Aspbury, and wife, Kailee; two grandchildren, Mac and Alaina; and partner Mike Girard.
A celebration of life will be held at William R. Davie Conference Center, Charlotte on Friday, August 7th at 1p.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Crossnore Communities for Children.
