He was predeceased by: his parents, Huey Smith and Catherine Mayes Smith; his grandson Chad Horton; and his siblings, Tommy Smith, Michael Smith, Herchell Smith, James Ray Smith, Ronny "Fat Head" Smith and Patsy Green.
He is survived by: his siblings, Wanda Smith, Martha Smith of Moulton, AL and Roy Stanley (Shelly) of Clearwater, FL; and his children, Devona Horton (Michael) of Hillsboro, AL, Robin McGee (Anthony) of Lexington, AL, Lynn Smith (Melissa) of Hillsboro, AL, Lisa (Dewayne) of Town Creek, AL and Terry Dwight Smith (Nicole Holbrook) of Pulaski, TN. He is also survived by 13 Grandchildren 8 Great grandchildren Several nieces and nephews.
