He is survived by: his wife Betsy Ross Byrd Barnett; his son Steve Martin Barnett (Jodi); his siblings, Edwina Barnett Langford, Judy Barnett Shinkman and Kevin Lee Barnett; and his sister-in-law Peggy Byrd Talley. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
