He is survived by: his father John Hollis Dyer; his wife Patricia Thompson Dyer; his children, Leslie Williams (Frank) of Greenville and Robert Dyer (Jackie) of Boone; his grandchildren, Ellen Williams, Carlton Dyer (Gresham Collins) and Austin Dyer; and his sister-in-law Jane Willis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
