He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

“I am sorry to hear of Dr. Jutila's passing. I worked for him as the head of his lab at MSU from 1967- 11/7/1969. I left at noon 11/7 and delivered my oldest daughter at 11:40 pm. He always teased me that he was going to deliver my baby on the lab table. It almost happened! I loved him dearly. He was an exceptional human being. I always thought it wasn't fair, both his wife and I had the same name so if he had a problem he could just call out "Charlotte"! [email protected]”
