With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John William Adams (Charlotte, North Carolina), who passed away on November 9, 2020 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Margaret Boardman Adams and Col. Lester M. Adams; his former wife Martha McCauley Sikes Adams; his brothers, Col. Lester M. Adams, Jr. and Col. Roderick B. Adams; his wife Mary Elizabeth Roberts Adams; his children, Blakeney, Stephen of Monroe, Ellen of Belmont and John of Waxhaw; his daughter-in-law Kristina of Weddington; his stepchildren, Robert Brock and Dayna Brock of Charlotte; and his brother Dr. Joseph V. Adams (Dorothy) of Savannah. He was also cherished by seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.

Due to COVID 19 restrictions, the family memorial service will be on November 21st at 2:00pm at Christ Episcopal Church of Charlotte and will be live streamed.

Additionally, Bill was a committeeman of The Foundation for The Carolinas.
