He is survived by: his wife Susan Sanderson; his daughter Leslie Gordon (Steve Gordon); his granddaughters, Lorie Windsor (Steven Roberts), Alyssa Wallace (Bailey Wallace), Amanda Gordon, Vanessa Windsor and LeeAnn Gordon; his great grandchildren, Peyton Wallace and Jaxon Wallace; and his siblings, Brenda Duncan, Robbie Sanderson and Dale Sanderson.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Roseboro's Mortuary (4300 Statesville Rd, Charlotte, NC 28269).
