He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Ferguson and Reta Ferguson. He is survived by: his wife Susan Ferguson; his children, Camilla Ferguson-Silver (Robin Silver) and Carl James Ferguson (Jeni Ferguson); his stepchildren, Michael Achord (Amanda), Andrew Achord (Katie) and Kimberly Taylor (Ken); his sister June Hawkins (Gene); and his sisters-in-law, Judy Hamilton and Beverly McLaney. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Radbourne Club House (3325 Radbourne Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28269).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
