He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Mungo and Erdell Mungo; his siblings, Joe, Leroy, Sidney, Viola, David and Maynor Lee; and his children, Bonnie, Janice and Ronnie.
He is survived by: his children, Annie Lee Douglas (Joe), Sheila Mungo, Lecola Mungo Jr. (Vanessa) and Freddie Mungo (Melissa); and his siblings, Curtis and Jeannie Mungo. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Ebenezer Baptist Church (2020 W Sugar Creek Rd, Charlotte, NC 28262). A funeral service was held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
