It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leonard Philemon (Charlotte, North Carolina), who passed away on February 2, 2026, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his daughters, Shelley Smith (Mark) of Auburn, AL and Ashley Mangione (Alberto) of Waxhaw; his grandchildren, Greyson Smith (Emily Claire) of Jacksonville, FL, Graziana Mangione, Alessandra Mangione of Scottsdale, AZ, Katherine Smith Perry (Sam) of Monroe, Luca Mangione of Scottsdale, AZ and Landon Smith of Auburn, AL; his great grandchild Rylie Perry; his daughter Kim Howard (Hal) of Waxhaw; and his brother Clay Philemon (Teresa) of Charlotte. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
