It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lillian McDaniel of Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on June 1, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Luke Roddey and Vivian Roddey; her brother David Roddey; and her nephew Phil Roddey. She is survived by: her stepson Kenneth McDaniel II (Misty); her stepgrandson Dayton Richardson; her sister-in-law Jean Roddey; her nephews, Mike Roddey (Meredith), Bryan Bell and Chuck Bell (Mary); and her niece Beth Bicki (Jimmy). She is also survived by her nine great nieces and nephews and two great great niece and nephew.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
