She was predeceased by: her parents, Dock Laney and Bessie Gay Laney; and her son-in-law Bob Ferster. She is survived by: her husband Bun Baker; her children, Linda Ferster (Bob), Ron Baker (Debbie) and Pam Pettus of North Carolina; her grandchildren, Eddie Ferster, Michael Ferster, Jason Ferster (Christen), Heidi Weatherspoon (Tim), Bryce Baker (Ilissa), Kevin Baker, Stephanie Baker (Josh), Shannon Ahrens (Shane) and Kaylee Pettus; and her great grandchildren, Wyatt Ferster, Caleb Ferster, Grace Ferster, Luke Ferster, Brody Baker, Skylar Barton, Lainey Barton, Inman Ahrens, Tenley Ahrens and Vicy Ahrens. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Sharon Memorial Park (5716 Monroe Rd, Charlotte, NC 28212). A funeral service was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
