We are sad to announce that, on May 20, 2026, at the age of 97, Margaret Fields Shelton in Charlotte, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Margaret shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Margaret farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Anne Hudgins Fields and Louie Arnold Fields Sr.; her husband Gus B. Shelton Jr.; and her brother Louie Fields. She is survived by: her children, Gus B. Shelton III (Suzanne) and Vanessa Shelton Stolen (David); her grandchildren, Sydney Shelton Mick (Trevor), Gus Shelton (Elizabeth), Wesley Stolen and Taylor Stolen; and her friend Sweetie.
