She is survived by: her daughters, Pecola Phifer of Charlotte and Patricia Rose (Michael) of Kannapolis; her grandchildren, Natasha Rose of Charlotte, Eddie Hokett of Charlotte, George McPherson (Audrey) of Charlotte, Dominic Fowler of Charlotte, Matthew Phifer of Charlotte and Tobias Rose (Chantal) of Durham; her siblings, Anna Porter of Charlotte, John Hokett of Charlotte and Sammie Bethea of Durham; and her aunt Ophelia Green of Latta.

A celebration of life was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. Paul Baptist Church (1401 Allen St, Charlotte, NC 28205-2832).
