With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Matilda Dunlap Ray (Charlotte, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 28, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Scott Ray; her parents, Lula Dunlap and Vinton Dunlap; and her brother Wylie Dunlap (Monnie). She is survived by: her children, Debbie Whitsett (Paul) of Fort Mill, Scott Ray of Mooresville and Marcie Ray of Charlotte; and her grandchildren, Rachael Heiser (Craig), Paul Whitsett (Emily), Victoria Whitsett, Tyler Ray, Andrew Ray (Peyton) and Wesley McCracken.

In lieu of flowers, she asks that you simply do something to help someone less fortunate.
