He is survived by: his mother Kirsten Roeback Hampy; his father-in-law Kevin King of Charlotte; his siblings, Mitchell Hampy (Morgan) of Charlotte and Halle Hampy (Arjun Earthperson) of Raleigh; his grandmothers, Marilyn North Roeback of Erie and Patricia Renshaw of Fairview, Pennsylvania.; and his cousins, Megan Marzka, Ava Byrum and Kelley Shaffer of Charlotte. He is also survived by his many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church (1400 Suther Rd, Charlotte, NC 28213). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the Hampy family would appreciate donations toward a meaningful gift for Matthew's Care Providers.
