He is survived by: his wife Pamela Waggoner Childs; his children, Matthew Jack Childs and Catherine Childs Garner; his granddaughter Corinne Adele Garner; his daughter Jane Childs Morris (Ted Morris); his granddaughters, Mary Catherine Morris and Madeleine Morris; his son John Patrick Childs (KD Childs); and his grandson Jack Micheal Childs.
