With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Myra Eloise Dockery (Charlotte, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 2, 2025 at the age of 78. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sammie Lee Campbell and Mildred Edna Anderson Holt; her husband Rudolph Dockery, Sr.; her siblings, Yvonne Holt Nixon (Waddell), Carol Holt Burton, Sammie Alexander, Sammie Lee Holt Sr., Judy Lynn Holt and Kevin Gerald Holt, Sr.; and her brothers-in-law, Lee Dockery, James Dockery and Percy Dockery.
She is survived by: her son Rudolph Dockery, Jr. (Liltha); her sister Marilyn Holt Powell; her granddaughters, Alecia Ratliff, Bridgette Dockery and Brittany Dockery; her great grandchild Mackenie McByrde; her siblings-in-law, John Heath (Vernell), Terry Heath (Gloria), Geraldine Holt, Gwendolyn Holt and Barbara Heath; and her sister Shaquita Holmes.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the A. E. Grier & Sons (2310 Statesville Ave, Charlotte, NC 28206). A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
