She was predeceased by: her parents, William Luther Thames, Jr. and Sue Franklin Mock Thames; and her brothers, Larry David Thames and William "Billy" Franklin Thames. She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, L. David Thames, Jr. (Katherine Crabtree Thames) of Charlotte, Anne Morris Thames Rowlee (David Donald Rowlee) of Overland Park, KS, Ellen Fitzpatrick Thames, Vivian Claire Rowlee and William David Thames; and her sister-in-law Margaret Ann Thames.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Francis Chapel at Myers Park United Methodist Church (1501 Queens Rd, Charlotte, NC 28207).
