She was predeceased by: her parents, Leander Sampson and Ruth Fields Sampson; and her siblings, Roger Dale Sampson, Grady Lee Sampson, Carl Bradford Sampson and Ann Elizabeth Sampson.

She is survived by: her husband Harland Blue; her children, Missy Blue, Kevin Blue (Kim) of Concord and Amy Howell (Jimmy) of Charlotte; and her sisters, Joyce O'Neal of Charlotte and Judy Hunt of Midland. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews.
