He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Donovan and Johanna Donovan; his wife Elizabeth (Betty); and his children, Stephen (Virginia), Janet (Pennsylvania), Barbara (New York), Ginger (North Carolina), Jack (Virginia), Donna (North Carolina) and Beth (North Carolina). He was also cherished by two daughters-in-law, five sons-in-law, fifteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church (4207 Shamrock Dr, Charlotte, NC 28215). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Epworth Building Club.
