He was predeceased by: his parents, G. T. Walker, Jr. and Jean Miriam Card Walker; and his siblings, Alice Jean Walker, Gordon Thomas Walker and David Richard Walker, Sr..

He is survived by: his wife Sandra Thomas Walker; his children, Benjamin Thomas Walker, Chelsea Elizabeth Walker Pizzola (Brandon) and Merritt Richard Walker; and his sister Mary Exa Crew (Steve).
