It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Earl Strong (Charlotte, North Carolina), born in Richton, Mississippi, who passed away on April 8, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his siblings, Johnny Strong, Jr., Matthew Strong, Charles Strong, Hattie Lynel Bonner, Melva Jean Wright, Catherine McGee and Patricia Hinton.

He is survived by : his wife Cheryl; his granddaughters, Rayna Lanae and Aria Alyse of Breinigsville, PA; his great grandchild Richard David Strong; and his sisters, Annette Myers of Cleveland, OH, Callie McGee of Hattiesburg, MS, Barbie Conley of Paramount, CA, Marilyn Chambers of Hattiesburg, MS and Dian Young of Cleveland Heights, OH. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and supportive friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church-West (1801 Oaklawn Ave, Charlotte, NC 28216). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
