He was predeceased by: his parents, Audrey Jackson and Ed Jackson; and his sister Christine Newman. He is survived by: his wife Gini Newman; his children, Alicia Newman, Shawn McKenna of Hamilton, Rheana, Mike Criscione of Toronto, Rob and Nicole Newman of Petrolia; his grandchildren, Audrey, Mac, Elise and Alex; his brother Chuck Newman (late Mel) of Chilliwack; and his stepsiblings, Barry Jackson, Patricia Lemay, Ed Jackson, Dale Jackson, Heather Brunell, Wendy King and Bonnie Morrow. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and their children.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Needham-Jay Funeral Home, Inc. (4059 Petrolia Line, Petrolia, ON N0N1R0). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Andrew's Presbyterina Church (416 Queen St, Petrolia, ON N0N1R0).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Petrolia Food Bank or the CEEH Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
