He was predeceased by : his father Preciliano Hernandez Resendiz. He is survived by : his mother Elena Zuniga Corona; his children, Arturo Hernandez (Grindelia), Elena Hernandez (Edgardo), Rutilio Hernandez (Tammy), Maria Hernandez (Sabino) and Orlando Hernandez; and his grandchildren, Veronica, Viviana, Selena, Danna, Milton, Melina, Petra, Richard, Abe, Ailyn and Gianna. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Woodlawn Funeral Home (375 Woodlawn Ave, Mt Holly, NC 28120). A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
