He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Isaac Welt and Rhoda Litwin Welt; his brother Murray Welt; his wife Deborah Hayter Welt; his brother Bernard Welt; his daughters, Ariel Welt and Carrie Welt; and his grandson Gabriel Welt.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Doctors Without Borders.
