He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Jones and Wanda Jones. He is survived by: his wife Dena Bazzie Jones; his daughters, Patricia Bruns (John) and Tracy Slaughter (James Dean); and his siblings, Jeff Jones (Frances), Scott Jones (Monica), Katie Fontenot (Greg), Penny Taylor (Joe), Lisa Flavin and Paige Jones. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

His church family at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, where he and Dena attended faithfully until COVID altered life's rhythms, also mourns his passing.
