He was predeceased by: his wife Teresa Lapaix-Vázquez; his parents, Carmen and Guillermo; his siblings, Felix, Rosita and Olga; his grandmother Rosa; and his aunt Lucy.
He is survived by: his children, Carmen, Yessenia and Rosita (Derrin); his grandchildren, Nayira (Davion), Natalie (Dennis) and Mackenzie; his siblings, Jorge (Jackie), Victor (Lidia), Guillermo, Iris and Elly; and his sister-in-law Nidia. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
After retirement, he tragically lost his wife, Teresa to COVID and relocated to Charlotte with his daughter Yessenia to be closer to his grandchildren.
