She is survived by: her son Joseph Kimrey, Jr. of Asheville; her husband Allen Hughes; her daughter Krista Smith (Reed) of Milton, Georgia; her sisters, Susie Dowd (Steve) of Winston-Salem, Margie Simpson of Indian Trail, Shirley Dresch (Jeff) of Myrtle Beach and Jean Philemon (Larry) of Monroe; and her grandchildren, Dynise Kimrey of Asheville, Carson Smith, Trevor Smith, Adelyn Smith of Milton, Georgia, Elizabeth Kimrey of Mint Hill, Logan Kimrey of Asheville and E'niyah Kimrey of Asheville.
