He is survived by: his children, Marion Crowley Scherger and Dr. Todd Crowley; his grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Scherger (Townsend), Michael Daniel Scherger (Kelly) and Catherine Scherger Talley (Tanner); and his great grandchildren, Ella Todd Talley, Regan Thomas Talley, Evelyn Anne Scherger, Signorello John Scherger and Stella Mae Scherger. He is also survived by extended family, including numerous nieces and nephews.
