It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Joseph Hefferon III (Charlotte, North Carolina), who passed away on July 7, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, David W. Hefferon and Marjorie J. Hefferon; and his brother Johnny Hefferon. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Hefferon; his children, Samantha Peindl (Lee), Ben Hefferon and Tim Edwards (Danielle); his brothers, Mike and Paul Hefferon; and his grandchildren, Chloe, Carter, George, Lily, Spencer and Clara. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Christ Lutheran Church (4519 Providence Rd, Charlotte, NC 28226).
The family requests any donations be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
