He was predeceased by: his father Gary Lee Rowell; and his son Jamal Smith. He is survived by: his wife Casinta Rowell of Charlotte; his sons, Big Josh Smith (Marquisha), Jacobey Crowder, Little Josh Key (Dominique), Chris Jackson and Jordan Rowell; his grandchildren, Jamir, Aiden, Carter, Karmen, Kaleb, Ja'Lea, Denver, Jacobey Jr., Braylen, Kalani and Alivia; and his siblings, Stephen Howard (Angie) of China Grove, Mark Howard (Lisa) of Stanfield and Andrea Nicely (Aaron) of West Virginia. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
