With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Verner Nicholson Jordan Jr. of Charlotte, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 9, 2025 at the age of 90. Though Verner may no longer walk beside us, their memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Verner touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In their absence, their spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Hickory Grove United Methodist Church (6401 Hickory Grove Rd, Charlotte, NC 28215).
