She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Stanley and Antoinette Klotkowski Turek; and her husband William Steele. She is survived by: her children, Greg Steele, Michael Steele and Meredith Steele Simon; her son-in-law Jason Simon; her granddaughter Amelia Simon; and her sister Irene Poole.

Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Humane Society of York County and Hospice of Charlotte.
