He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Thornberry and Cora Thornberry. He is survived by: his children, Ty Thornberry (Melinda) of Colorado and Taunya Dahlberg (Jon) of North Carolina; his grandchildren, Emma, Sarah, Ian and Jacob (Serene); and his brother Ken Thornberry (Nancy). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
