He was predeceased by: his parents, Burch Phillips and Jean Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Gaye Phillips; his children, Angela Smosarski (Steve) of Mooresville, NC and Rusty Phillips of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Taylor Fox (Brittany) of Huntersville, NC and Logan Bolick (Casey) of Conover, NC; and his sister Nancy White of Cornelius, NC. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McEwen Funeral Service Inc. (6300 Mallard Creek Rd, Charlotte, NC 28262).
