She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Boyd and Bessie Terry Boyd; her husband Charles Richard Smith; her grandson Bryan Christopher Smith; and her siblings, Velma Harris, Jenny Kiger, Charlotte Jones, Bill Boyd, Johnny Boyd, Frank Boyd and Charles Boyd.
She is survived by: her son Bradley Kirk Smith; her daughter-in-law April Smith; her grandchildren, Jeremy Andrew Smith and Ava Hope Smith; her great grandchild Michael Andrew Smith; her sister Margaret Boyd; and her siblings-in-law, Charlie Kiger and Margaret Davis. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Moody Funeral Services (206 W Pine St, Mt Airy, NC 27030). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Mount Bethel Moravian Church (127 Mt Bethel Rd, Cana, VA 24317).
